Current Wegovy pill prices

Manufacturer pricing and savings terms can change. The following figures were checked August 8, 2026.

Payment route Current advertised amount Important qualifications
Self-pay, 1.5 mg tablet $149 per month Eligibility and program terms apply
Self-pay, 4 mg tablet $149 per month through August 31, 2026 Manufacturer states the amount becomes $199 afterward unless terms change
Self-pay, 9 mg tablet $299 per month Current NovoCare pharmacy terms
Self-pay, 25 mg tablet $299 per month Current NovoCare pharmacy terms
Commercial insurance savings As little as $25 per month Maximum savings, coverage, and eligibility restrictions apply
Medicare GLP-1 Bridge $50 per month for eligible beneficiaries Temporary program described for July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027; prior authorization and clinical criteria apply

The manufacturer also lists a $1,349.02 package list price for Wegovy pill. List price is not the same as the amount every patient pays. Insurance coverage, savings-program eligibility, dose, pharmacy route, and government-program rules may substantially change the out-of-pocket amount.

What the $149 starting price does and does not mean

The $149 figure is not a universal price for every Wegovy tablet strength or every consumer.

Manufacturer materials say eligible self-pay patients pay $149 for the 1.5 mg dose and, through August 31, 2026, the 4 mg dose. Current terms list the 4 mg dose at $199 after that limited offer and the 9 mg and 25 mg doses at $299 per month. Novo Nordisk reserves the right to change or end the program.

Before relying on the starting price, verify:

How insurance affects Wegovy pill cost

Insurance coverage is separate from medical eligibility. A clinician may prescribe Wegovy pill while an insurer still requires prior authorization, applies a deductible, limits coverage, or denies the claim.

Commercially insured patients may qualify for a manufacturer savings offer that advertises payment as low as $25 per month, subject to a maximum savings amount and other restrictions. Government beneficiaries generally cannot use a commercial savings card unless a separate government pathway applies.

Questions to ask the insurer or provider:

  1. Is Wegovy pill on the plan formulary?
  2. Is prior authorization required?
  3. Are the tablet and injection treated differently?
  4. Does coverage depend on diagnosis or documented criteria?
  5. Is there a preferred pharmacy?
  6. What is the expected cost at the prescribed strength?
  7. How long does an approval last?

Medicare GLP-1 Bridge information

Novo Nordisk’s current consumer page describes a temporary Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program for eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries. It states that all dose strengths of Wegovy pen and pill may be available for $50 per month from July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027.

This is not automatic coverage for every Medicare beneficiary. The manufacturer says clinical criteria, plan participation, prior authorization, and covered-use requirements apply. Consumers should verify the program directly with their plan, prescriber, and the current official Bridge materials.

Because this is a time-limited government-access program, dates and criteria should be checked again before publishing an application or enrollment decision.

Can you get Wegovy pill online?

Yes. The branded Wegovy tablet can be obtained through legitimate online pathways when a licensed clinician determines that a prescription is appropriate. “Online” may describe the clinical intake, prescription management, pharmacy transaction, delivery, or a combination of those steps. It does not mean Wegovy can legitimately be purchased without a prescription.

NovoCare’s online pharmacy currently lets consumers select the Wegovy pill, choose a tablet strength, indicate self-pay or insurance, and choose pharmacy pickup or free delivery. A valid prescription and the applicable eligibility and pharmacy requirements still apply.

A telehealth service may instead manage the intake and clinician relationship, then send an approved prescription to NovoCare Pharmacy or another pharmacy. Before paying a telehealth fee, verify:

Where can you get Wegovy pill online?

For U.S. consumers, the useful distinction is prescription access versus medication fulfillment. Current pathways include:

  1. NovoCare Pharmacy: Novo Nordisk’s online pharmacy pathway supports the Wegovy pill with self-pay or insurance options and pickup or delivery. A prescription is still required.
  2. A telehealth service that requests branded Wegovy: the service may collect the medical intake and arrange licensed-clinician review, then send an appropriate prescription to a pharmacy. The telehealth fee may be separate from medication.
  3. A clinician plus a preferred retail or mail-order pharmacy: an online clinician may send an appropriate prescription to another pharmacy that carries the branded tablet, subject to inventory, coverage, and state requirements.

Do not treat a page advertising “oral semaglutide,” “semaglutide tablets,” drops, lozenges, or sublingual semaglutide as proof that it provides the FDA-approved Wegovy pill. Confirm the brand name, manufacturer, dosage form, dispensing pharmacy, and final price before paying.

BloomMD’s Wegovy pill membership pathway

BloomMD advertises an exact-match Wegovy pill membership for $75 per month. The membership covers provider review, prescription management if medically appropriate, and ongoing support. Medication is not included and is purchased separately through the selected pharmacy route.

BloomMD’s product page says the purchase becomes nonrefundable after the medical intake is submitted, while also stating that a refund is provided if the applicant is found ineligible. Its general terms require two weeks’ notice to cancel an auto-renewing GLP-1 membership and say no refunds are issued after payment is processed. Because those statements are not fully aligned, confirm the refund outcome, renewal date, cancellation method, pharmacy, and medication price in writing before paying.

The pill is not automatically cheaper at every strength, and the pen is not automatically more appropriate. Compare the complete expected treatment cost, routine, coverage, and current label rather than selecting by headline price alone.

Wegovy pill versus Foundayo

Wegovy pill and Foundayo are both FDA-approved daily oral weight-management medications, but they are not interchangeable. Wegovy contains semaglutide, while Foundayo contains orforglipron. Their strengths, instructions, mechanisms, labeling, coverage, and complete costs differ.

Foundayo can be taken with or without food under its current instructions. Wegovy pill has product-specific empty-stomach, water, and waiting-period instructions. Both require a prescription and clinician review.

Read the Foundayo pill cost and availability guide for current self-pay pricing and online-access questions.

Wegovy pill versus Rybelsus

Both are oral semaglutide products, but they are not interchangeable brand names.

FDA labeling lists them under separate applications with different product labeling and approved uses. A provider should identify which product is being considered and why. Consumers should not use weight-loss claims from one product as proof about another product or a compounded tablet.

Wegovy pill versus compounded semaglutide tablets

Question Wegovy pill Compounded semaglutide tablet
FDA approval FDA-approved branded product Not FDA-approved
FDA premarket review Yes, for the approved product and use No
Standardized national label Yes Pharmacy and prescription specific
Generic equivalent? Not applicable Should not be described as an FDA-approved generic Wegovy equivalent
Evidence Applies to the approved product and studied formulation Must not be assumed from branded-product trials
Pharmacy Commercial pharmacy pathway Compounding pharmacy identified for the prescription

FDA says compounded drugs can serve an important medical need in some circumstances, but they are not reviewed before marketing for safety, effectiveness, or quality in the same way as approved drugs.

  5. Is a membership fee charged separately from medication?

Frequently asked questions

Can I get Wegovy pills online?

Yes, legitimate online prescription and pharmacy pathways can provide access to the FDA-approved Wegovy tablet after appropriate clinician review. A prescription is required, and completing an online intake or paying a membership fee does not guarantee that Wegovy will be prescribed, covered, or in stock.

Where can I get Wegovy pill online?

NovoCare offers an online pharmacy pathway for the branded Wegovy pill, with self-pay or insurance options and pickup or delivery. Telehealth services may also arrange clinician review and, when medically appropriate, send a prescription to NovoCare or another pharmacy. Verify the exact branded product and any separate telehealth fee before paying.

How much is Wegovy pill without insurance?

Current manufacturer self-pay pricing is $149 per month for eligible 1.5 mg patients and temporarily $149 for 4 mg through August 31, 2026; current terms list 4 mg at $199 after that offer and 9 mg and 25 mg at $299 per month. Terms and prices may change.

Can I buy Wegovy pill without a prescription?

No legitimate U.S. pathway should sell prescription Wegovy without clinician authorization. An online assessment does not guarantee prescribing.

Is Wegovy pill the same as Rybelsus?

No. They are separate branded oral semaglutide products with their own FDA applications, labeling, and approved uses.

Is compounded oral semaglutide a generic Wegovy pill?

No. Compounded products are not FDA-approved generics and should not be advertised as equivalent to the approved branded tablet.

Does Wegovy pill require refrigeration?

Manufacturer materials distinguish the tablet from the injection’s temperature considerations. Consumers should follow the current tablet label and pharmacy instructions for storage rather than assuming requirements from the pen.
